A half of an hour to the south, you can drive to many excellent vineyards near BlayeBourg, and further on to Saint Emillion. If you head north, you’ll reach the beaches of Royan in under 45 minutes and the distilleries of Cognac. To the west, a car-ferry can transport you to the renown wineries of MargauxPauillac, and Saint Estèphe in the Médoc.
